Life with Fibromyalgia (Fibro-My-What?)
I wrote this post over a year ago and never published it. My symptoms are better managed now but someone needs to know they are NOT alone. Do you know or love someone suffering through life with Fibromyalgia? If so, believe them when they tell you the symptoms and triggers. What may bother them one... Continue Reading →

I’ve wanted to say this for so long and today, Saturday, April 2, 2022 @ 8:45 CST, I’m about to say it. Albeit on virtual paper but here goes. I HATE YOU! Well, hate is a strong word but my younger self hates you. Whew, that felt good! I have no idea if you are... Continue Reading →
Randomly odd questions
I have been asked some of the strangest questions recently and I thought I'd share: (The first one is my all-time favorite. Not really. I just get asked a lot.) Q: May I touch your hair? A: Um, NO, you may not. Do you ask people of other races if you can touch their hair?... Continue Reading →
Things I learned in 2020
Life is not promised. Not one day, one minute or a second is promised. Photo by Pixabay on Pexels.com Life is not promised. Not one day, one minute or one second is promised. People are more concerned about wiping their butts than wearing a mask. A lot of people are stupid. Yeah, I said it.Tell someone you... Continue Reading →
Tired of Karen

This friend has, for most of his career, been a mover and a shaker, working his way up from copy room attendant fresh... Continue Reading →

On the eve of this U.S. presidential election, I can’t help but think back to November 8th, nearly four years ago now. I was sitting in my college dorm room, frantically scrolling through social media, listening to the political pundits on my television. It was a day that began with such optimism and what I assumed would be imminent celebration. I was so ready to once again see the good in my country, after months of bigotry, mud-slinging, and general ugliness on the news…

No N*ggers
Since the death of George Floyd, the protests that followed, mandates for justice and for others to see us, people of color as real human beings, I have been thinking about racism in my own life a lot. Almost day and night. All day and all night. It gives me anxiety. The continual news onslaught... Continue Reading →
High Above the Clouds
I took this picture on January 3, 2020 just after the break of day. My flight was very early and I had been up all night with the exception of maybe 2 hours. It was dark on the ground but above the clouds there was light. The flight was on time and just as the... Continue Reading →
