The title of this post just hit me and I had to get this brief message out.
Readers of this blog and social media followers know that I, like other people in this world, have had my share of ups and downs. I posted my most recent testimony on YouTube and I talked about things like being unemployed most recently while I was going through it. However, only God and I know about those moments when I wondered what He was up to and the days I spent trying to remind myself of the miracles He’d already performed in my life. I am the only one who knows about the days when He held me close to his heart and loved me despite my doubt. Those days were hard because I knew who He was–still I felt shaky at times.
This brief post is to encourage someone and the following passage from 1 Corinthians 15:58 sums it all up for me when I’m weary.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. [KJV]
Or the Message translation:
58 With all this going for us, my dear, dear friends, stand your ground. And don’t hold back. Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort. [MSG]
In other words, stand firm. Don’t be moved by the things you see. As hard as it may seem, as much as it looks like God has moved on without you, remember this: He hasn’t. He’s still there working things out for your good. Plant your feet firmly on your faith and know that God is bigger than your situation.
