This year for ABAY I am featuring other bloggers. The first in the series is Author/Blogger, Jae Henderson. I had the pleasure of meeting Jae Henderson for the first time at last year’s Faith and Fiction Retreat in Dallas, Texas. Jae stopped by BW&L to promote her blog, My Side of the Single Life.
BW&L: Thanks for stopping by, Jae. We love visitors here. Tell us about your blog.
JH: My Side of the Single Life is an informative, thought-provoking and sometimes humorous blog for single women who want to read, discuss, and laugh about the circumstances that occur while waiting for Mr. Righteous to make his entrance. Sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying. I also embrace other topics that I happen to find interesting at the time. Oh yeah…I also talk about celibacy. Not getting any? You’ve come to the right place.
BW&L: Not getting any…LOL. Candid and frank, I love it!
BW&L: What was the motivation behind your blog?
JH: I initially started My Side of the Single Life as a means to purge my frustrations with the shallow, superficial, jaw-dropping circumstances I encountered while dating. It turned into something much more therapeutic and allowed me to stay out of jail. I always feared I would end up on an episode of SNAPPED after going out with an idiot. I encourage others to write a few words and save a life. It’s hard to believe that I’ve been doing it since 2009.
BW&L: What is the goal of your blog?
JH: My goal is to create an interesting forum for “grown women” who enjoy dating men with some sense. We will talk about those who don’t have it or lose it temporarily when in the company of attractive women and give thanks and kudos for those whose parents provided them with “home training”.
BW&L: Any final thoughts?
JH: I still believe in love. I also believe there are a lot of people who have a lot to learn about the proper way to give and accept love. Sometimes, I’m included in that group.
BW&L: Thanks for stopping by and sharing your blog with us. I hope you get lots of new visits and followers!
